Geez, people take Yuzu hitting others with her paper fan way too seriously..
I don’t think it’s because “the yugioh fandom hates girls” (no offense to the person who reblogged it and added that, but I respectfully disagree) I think it’s more that many people on tumblr are quick to call almost anything a character does “abusive.” That’s not to say that real abuse isn’t a serious issue. Of course it is. But people will claim any character or ship they dislike is “abusive”.
I like Yuzu. That said, in my opinion the “hitting with a paper fan” thing is an overused trope in anime. I don’t really find it funny because it just seems like the lowest hanging fruit in terms of humor. But “abusive” is a reach. And of course, you don’t have to approve of everything a character does to like that character. :)
